STAYING IN STEP WITH YOUR PURPOSE
In my previous post, I said a lot about how we ought to find purpose. It's ironic how I have these conversations on finding purpose as though I had it all figured out. In fact, I don't. As a matter of fact, it is the search for finding a true purpose that keeps me writing. Finding purpose is one thing and keeping in step with purpose is another hurdle.
Before we start any discussion on staying in step with your purpose, I would like to share this motivational write up I chanced upon on WhatsApp;
God gave you the gift π your talents are a spiritual currency that God placed and invested within you! Your talent is a gift from God, but how you use your talent is your gift back to God!
Your gifts are beyond YOU. It's not all about you, it's deeper than you. It is written, that God said to use your gifts and your gifts will make room for you and place you amongst KINGS & great people (Proverbs 18:16)...
Your gifts are full of value ✨ and money is attracted to value too. There are souls and destinies attached to your calling, but you're out here wasting too much time second-guessing yourself and worrying about the opinions of others!
God gave you the assignment and he created you! So why are you second-guessing yourself when you are a human manifestation of God!
SNAP OUT OF IT SIS!!! Your gift and the calling God gave you is bigger than you. By you allowing external forces to keep you internally stuck, and not acting on your calling, you'll be denying the generations, souls, and destinies attached to you from manifesting for the glory of God here on earth π ππΎππΎππΎ.
To each individual, the creator put in us a uniqueness meant to refine us and to make us impactful. I pray we all find purpose and make the needed impact this dying world needs soo desperately.
So, on to our main discussion on keeping step with your purpose. I was fortunate to meet up with a few friends who shared their journey on finding purpose and how they knew certain incidents were confirmations of what they ought to do with their lives. These are the exact words for a person who shared her journey so far in finding purpose and staying in step with it:
God uses a lot of things to point us to our purpose. Mostly He does that through the skills and talents he has blessed us with.
The truth is whatever talents God has bestowed on us is not for us to flaunt on ourselves. We have to use it for God’s glory.
I have come to realize that your purpose naturally allows your talents to flow. When you realize you are very good at something the next thing is to ask yourself,” How do I use this for God’s glory”.
Secondly, you cannot run away from your purpose. Well, that is what it has been for me. The truth is there will be a lot of encounters where people will come to you for that particular thing God has granted you. It is up to us to avail ourselves when we realize people keep hitting us on that aspect of our lives. That is how we will be able to sharpen whatever skill or talent it is so we can use it and use it well.
Lastly, we have accepted that God has blessed us with certain talents ( not in a proud way). Sometimes we tend to all in the name of humility ran away from certain responsibilities all in the name of we are not suited for it. God can call anyone to use them. He doesn’t look at your history, your status. He wants to know if you are ready to handle whatever He wants to give to you to do.
Remember that this is just one way someone found her purpose. There are other unusual ways people have encountered their assignments. In my next post, I will share other individual's experiences. It will help us better understand that there's no one way of finding purpose. I hope this article has been resourceful. do leave a comment of your views and if you have any experiences of your own you would like to share.
