THE BURNING
Every human is born with a purpose. Why would you be born to just live? To what end? As a kid, I had always lived in oblivion. I never really thought of what tomorrow would bring. I mean the bible even tells us not to worry about tomorrow... Funny how we try to quote scripture to support our folly. believe me, we were born for a purpose that outlives us as mortals. I don't mean to speak so philosophically, but this is the realization I have come to. Even as Christians, we were born to live beyond just a righteous life. There will always be a burning to live more purposefully. My thought may be scattered right now but keep reading and you'll understand more clearly the object of this discourse.
It is imbibed in our DNA as humans to regenerate. Yes! We were born to become better versions of who we were and in the process become who we are meant to be. We are born to fill that unending well of dissatisfaction in us. In finding our purpose, we metamorphose into a better version; ‘restored to a better state’, and this is the essence of regeneration. Have you ever felt lost? Have you ever felt that there's something more for you to do? Have you ever felt the yearning to be more than you are? The journey to finding purpose is a journey of a lifetime.
Through our purpose of finding who we are and who we are born to be, we need to die comfort. we die to self. Your purpose is a seed sown. You fall into the soil in order to transform your old ways of thinking and be regenerated into a better version of you. You evolve in pursuit of your purpose. Look how a seed falls to the ground, dies, and through death produces abundant grain or fruit more than just itself. In pursuit of your purpose, you should be selfless because your cause is bigger than you. You will need destiny helpers to assist you in achieving that for which you were born. This is because the impact of your purpose must outlive you. I may seem to be blabbering with all these big vocabulary, but trust me, life is more than just living day-to-day.
You are alive today for a reason. Don't just be thankful to be on the wake list today. Ask yourself, 'for what reason am I still alive?'. Inasmuch as we all wish for long life, what is the purpose of living for that long? How beneficial is it to this earth?
In Acts 9:36-43, we read about Dorcas, a woman of God, full of good works. When she died, it was her good works that extended her life. Need I say more? Finding purpose is paramount to living a long and fulfilled life. A lot of people are working in the wrong field. Others are not working to the best of their abilities. In all of this, we ought to know that finding purpose and living to the best of ability is living a fulfilled life.
In my next conversation, I will touch on practical issues on how to remain focused and some pointers that can indicate that you are on a path of impact. Before that, listen to the words of this song.

Our purpose indeed is greater than being on the wake list.. Fulfilling your desires and God's purpose for our lives is paramount
