Untitled 2021

Happy to be back again with another post. It's been a long time coming. I had hoped I would have found all the answers to how we could find purpose in life. But, no. Such a life changing phenomenon takes a lifetime to actualize. But what I have come to realise is that finding purpose starts with the everyday things you do in life- waking up, taking a shower, cleaning up, managing your time, taking responsibility of your actions.  It is in the little things that we build momentum to achieve greater heights . If you are not able to nurture good habits,  how will you be able to harness your hidden potential to be most impactful?  It is our intentional acts towards becoming the best of who we are that makes us fulfilled.   It's taken me a while to write again because I wasn't really sure where I was heading with this. But it is a new year, and in view of living intentionally and being impactful, I will keep at this until it actually makes more and more sense. The ye...

STAYING IN STEP WITH YOUR PURPOSE

In my previous post, I said a lot about how we ought to find purpose. It's ironic how I have these conversations on finding purpose as though I had it all figured out. In fact, I don't. As a matter of fact, it is the search for finding a true purpose that keeps me writing.  Finding purpose is one thing and keeping in step with purpose is another hurdle. Before we start any discussion on staying in step with your purpose, I would like to share this motivational write up I chanced upon on WhatsApp;   God gave you the gift 🎁 your talents are a spiritual currency that God placed and invested within you! Your talent is a gift from God, but how you use your talent is your gift back to God!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Your gifts are beyond YOU. It's not all about you, it's deeper than you. It is written, that God said to use your gifts and your gifts will make room for you and place you amongst KINGS & great people (Proverbs 18:16)...⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Your gifts are full of value ✨ and money i...

THE BURNING

Image
Every human is born with a purpose. Why would you be born to just live? To what end? As a kid, I had always lived in oblivion. I never really thought of what tomorrow would bring. I   mean the bible even tells us not to worry about tomorrow... Funny how we try to quote scripture to support our folly. believe me, we were born for a purpose that outlives us as mortals. I don't mean to speak so philosophically, but this is the realization I have come to. Even as Christians, we were born to live beyond just a righteous life. There will always be a burning to live more purposefully. My thought may be scattered right now but keep reading and you'll understand more clearly the object of this discourse. It is imbibed in our DNA as humans to regenerate. Yes! We were born to become better versions of who we were and in the process become who we are meant to be. We are born to fill that unending well of dissatisfaction in us. In finding our purpose, we metamorphose into a better version;...

PURPOSE

Image
Have you ever thought of what your purpose in life  is? Do you know why you are still alive today? Have you thought for a moment what your daily routine should help you achieve in three years to come? Are you intentionally living to an expected end? These are the many questions that flood my mind every now and then. If I am still alive today, then it must be for good reason. But what if i am just living casually without purpose, without vision, what happens then to such an aimless life? Ephesians 2:10 says we were created for purpose in Christ Jesus. Our first quest in life is to find the purpose for which we were created in order to live a fulfilled life. Jesus Christ knew his purpose. Paul knew his purpose and so did other great men and women.  The next question that needs to be answered is how does one find their purpose? In an attempt to answer this very complex and yet simple question I so...

THE WALK

Image
So much has happend over the years. this year has been especially life changing as my walk with the Most High took a totally different twist. Growing up , i have been so caught up with myslef and what i thouhght i needed and would make feel so fulfilled in life. I was never the brave one, i was never the one who stood up for myself: talkless to stand up for others. But in all of this, there was a burning and a yearning for more than i was. i knew i needed to stand up for myself in the most selfless way that would make others flourish. And when it seemed that the biological clock was ticking, desperation set in. Wiriting has always been an escape for me, but i was never consistent. Now i am not only growing, but maturing. Through all these seasons , i have learnt and i have lost. In all of this, one thing that kept me is HOPE. Hope never puts us to shame (ROM 5;5). My walk with God has been a struggle. I never really understood how to walk with the holy spirit. i never really made that ...
